Your One-Stop Technical Resource
For all Compressed Gases and Gas Handling Equipment
Technical and Safety Information
The wide variety of possible mixtures and purity levels available, along with their nearly unlimited applications, can make purchasing specialty and industrial gases (also known as cylinder gases) a confusing issue. Without at least a general understanding of the basic science behind their production, selecting compressed cylinder gases that are cost-effective and appropriate for a particular application can be a daunting task.
More importantly, most gases are packaged in high-pressure cylinders containing pressures of 2000 psi or more. Exacting safety procedures must therefore be observed to minimize risk of serious personal injury. When gases are toxic or flammable, even greater safety precautions must be taken.
As listed in the navigator at left, this section of our website gives access to important technical and safety information that will help you choose the right gases and delivery equipment for your application, and to use them safely and efficiently.
