High-Purity Backup Systems for Specialty Gases
These systems are designed to provide automatic backup gas supply where gas generators, cryogenic dewars, compressors or house line gases are the primary source of process gas. They allow supply systems to be turned off for service or maintenance without disturbing the gas flow to high-purity applications. Unlike changeover systems, Scott brand backup systems automatically provide backup gas on an as needed basis, buffering deficiencies in supply pressure.

The 8BGS system is provided with a low inlet primary pressure gauge for use with gas generators and low-pressure house lines. The 8BDS utilizes a higher inlet pressure gauge to accommodate pressure readings from liquid dewars and compressors.
